Cops: 4 arrested after attacking Bayport man, burglarizing home

BAYPORT - Police say four men have been arrested after a Bayport man was attacked and robbed inside his home. 

According to police, two of the men attacked the victim in his house on Bayview Avenue just before 1 p.m. yesterday. The men allegedly stole cash and jewelry before fleeing on foot.

The victim called police with a description of the men and their car and they were arrested a half hour later on Sunrise Highway in Bohemia. 

Police have identified the suspects as Ramone Beauford, 18, of Bayport, Javier Gonzalez, 17, of Brentwood, Osman Flores, 20, of Central Islip, and Nelson Vanegas, 19, of Brentwood. All four will be charged with burglary. 

The victim went to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue with non-life threatening body and facial injuries.
