YONKERS - County Executive Rob Astorino met with constituents in White Plains today to try to garner Hispanic votes.
Roughly 23 percent of Westchester County is comprised of Hispanic residents.
While Hispanics traditionally vote Democratic, Astorino hopes to change that trend.
"Any Republican in Westchester County starts out election day outnumbered 2-1," says Republican analyst Tony Sayegh. "We have to court Hispanics.”
A spokesperson for Astorino's Democratic challenger, New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson, says Astorino has consistently undermined and slashed vital services that Latino families and middle class families across Westchester rely on.
