OAKLAND - Two furniture movers in Oakland are being called heroes after helping save a young girl from a fire.

The two employees of L.O.V.E furniture were making a delivery at a Spring Avenue home when they noticed flames at the home of Donna Kligerman.

Kligerman says the men had just finished with the delivery when she saw smoke. The men ran over to her neighbor's house and asked if anyone was inside.

The men then ran up the stairs and carried a 4-year-old girl to safety.

The resident of the burning home says she made it outside with her 1-year-old granddaughter, but her 4-year-old niece went back inside the burning building.

Kligerman says she'd like to meet the men again, and called one of them a hero.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The two delivery men have said that they would like to remain anonymous.
