Devils chief executive Lou Lamoriello announced the signings Friday, saying all eight got two-way contracts, meaning their salaries will be determined by whether they play in the NHL or the minor league system.
Also signed were goaltenders Gerald Coleman and Jeff Lerg and forwards Stephen Gionta, Kyle Kucharski, Brad Mills and Jeff Prough. Contract terms were not disclosed for any player.
Most will be in the Devils' training camp later this summer, Lamoriello said.
