NEWTOWN, Conn. - Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy expressed his grief this afternoon over the Newtown, Conn. elementary school shooting that left 20 children and seven adults, including the gunmen, dead.

"Earlier today, a number of our citizens, beautiful children, had their lives taken away from them," Malloy said.

Malloy asked that everyone keep the victims in their prayers.
