Jinger Duggar, the fourth daughter and sixth child overall of the “19 Kids & Counting” / reality-TV clan, is dating former professional soccer player Jeremy Vuolo.
People magazine said Monday that Duggar, 22, met Vuolo, 28 on a missionary trip together. “It was there that I really saw his heart and really admired his character,” Duggar told the magazine. By then he had played briefly for Major League Soccer’s New York Red Bulls and the North American Soccer League’s San Antonio Scorpions after a few years in the minors and in Finland. He is no longer on the active rosters of either league. Like his father, Chuck, he is an ordained pastor.
Vuolo, a Downingtown, Pennsylvania, native initially was friends with older sister Jessa Duggar Seewald and her husband Ben Seewald, and through them met Jinger Duggar. “We are very excited to begin this journey together,” he said of their courtship, a formal procedure that is a Duggar family tradition.
