Former figure-skating champion and Olympic gold-medalist Brian Boitano has come out as gay. "I am many things: a son, a brother, an uncle, a friend, an athlete, a cook, an author, and being gay is just one part of who I am," Boitano, 50, said in a statement. Boitano will be part of the U.S. delegation to the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, the third openly gay member (the others are tennis star Billie Jean King and ice hockey Olympic medalist Caitlin Cahow).
