Carey speaks out about a past abusive relationship
Mariah Carey told Larry King that she relates to Rihanna's pain because she has suffered abuse as well.
"You've been emotionally abused?" King asked the Grammy-winning Greenlawn native on his CNN show Wednesday night.
"Emotionally, mentally . . . ," Carey replied.
Though Carey declined to talk about a specific incident and did not name her accused abuser, she hinted that it was her ex-husband Tommy Mottola, saying, "It was difficult because there was a connection that was not only a marriage but a business thing where the person was in control of my life."
