Forbes: Lady Gaga the top-earning celeb younger than 30
Despite a tour cut short by hip surgery, singer Lady Gaga is No. 1 on Forbes magazine's "List of Top-Earning Celebs Under 30."
Released Monday, the list estimates that had she not been injured during her Born This Way Ball Tour, the shows, which grossed $168 million, would likely have exceeded $200 million. As it was, the 27-year-old topped the Forbes list with an estimated $80 million earned between June 2012 and June 2013. She was No. 1 in 2011 and No. 4 last year.
Singers also filled the runner-up positions. Justin Bieber, 19, came in second place for a third year, with an estimated $58 million. The 22-year-old Taylor Swift -- last year's No. 1 -- came close behind at $55 million.
The highest-ranked actor on the list, at No. 8, was Jennifer Lawrence, who filmed her starring role in "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," due out November, during the period the list covers. Also contributing to her estimated $26 million earnings was last year's "Silver Linings Playbook," for which she won the Academy Award for best actress.
"Twilight"-franchise star Kristen Stewart and supporting actor Taylor Lautner were tied for No. 9 with $22 million each.
Filling out the list was singer-songwriter, producer and DJ Calvin Harris, who reached No. 4 with $46 million, followed in the next slots by three singers: Rihanna ($43 million), Katy Perry ($39 million) and Adele ($25 million).
Forbes compiles the list of young stars, excluding athletes, beginning with last year's list, by speaking with agents, managers, producers, executives and others in the entertainment industry.
