Gosselin signs on for TV dating show

Kate Gosselin, the divorced former star of "Jon & Kate Plus 8" and the subsequent "Kate Plus 8," has signed to do a TV dating show, E! News reports. Gosselin, 37, whose shows with and without her ex Jon Gosselin ran on Discovery Health and TLC from 2007 to 2011, is still seeking a network for the projected series, added E! Previously a nurse, Gosselin said on "Dr. Drew's Lifechangers" in February, "I clean up the house, put the kids to bed, and there I sit."

Boy band 98 Degrees reuniting for summer gigs

The 1990s boy band 98 Degrees is reuniting, starting with an Aug. 17 performance on the "Today" show's Summer Concert Series, Newsday's Frank Lovece reports. "In the 10 years since our last performance as 98 Degrees, we've each achieved personal success and grown as individuals, while remaining a close-knit family," the group, composed of Nick Lachey, Drew Lachey, Justin Jeffre and Jeff Timmons, said in a statement. The band will also play a previously announced gig at the MixTape Festival in Hershey, Pa., on Aug. 17-18.

Reports of new baby on way

Are Elton John and David Furnish, who entered a civil partnership in England in 2005, expecting a second child? The web site The Daily reported that the celebrated musician, 64, and Furnish, 49, have hired a surrogate through the Center for Surrogate Parenting in Encino, Calif. The two already are parents to Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John, who was born via the same surrogate, the site said, in California on Dec. 25. On the British TV series "Daybreak" Sunday, John said he wanted more children.
