Halle Berry's ex-boyfriend, Gabriel Aubry, was taken to a hospital with injuries Thursday after a brawl with the actress' fiance, Olivier Martinez, ABC News station KABC in Los Angeles reports.

The fight broke out at Berry's home just before 10 a.m. Thursday, according to KABC. Aubry was taken to Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles with fractured ribs and bruising to his face, the news station reported.

Martinez injured his hand and neck but was otherwise said to be OK, KABC reported.

It was unclear what prompted the brawl, but Berry saw it begin with Aubry pushing Martinez, according to KABC, and she quickly left to call 911. Berry and Aubry's daughter, Nahla, 4, did not witness the fight, KABC reported.

Police were considering charges against Aubry, KABC said, but none had been filed as of Thursday afternoon. However, a judge did issue an emergency protective order to keep Aubry at least 100 yards away from Berry, Martinez and Nahla until Dec. 3.

Tensions have been high for Aubry and Berry since their split in 2010. Earlier this month, a judge denied the actress' request to move with Nahla to France.

A representative for Berry did not immediately respond to ABCNews.com's requests for comment.
