Bedford residents Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds got married this weekend in South Carolina, according to reports.
Maybe, just maybe, the "Green Lantern" co-stars liked the sound of it when a Bedford police officer mistakenly(?) referred to Lively as Reynolds' "wife" when "The Proposal" actor filed a report with local authorities in July.
On Sunday, the couple tied the knot at Boone HIll Plantation in Mount Pleasant, S.C. — not to be confused with the Westchester County town of the same name. Florence Welch, of Florence and the Machine fame, performed a few songs, and a DJ spun tracks at the reception, according to People magazine. Bette Midler also sang for the occasion, E! Online chimed in.
While the Hudson Valley often serves as a celebrity refuge from the paparazzi of New York City, perhaps Lively, 25, and Reynolds, 35, ventured south for their nuptials to escape local scrutiny. This summer, the couple has been spotted hitting the gym together in Bedford, dining at the Bedford Post Inn, and enjoying ice cream in Somers.
Publicists for Lively and Reynolds did not immediately respond to requests for comment early Monday morning.
Reynolds married Scarlett Johansson in 2008 and the couple divorced in 2010, citing irreconcilable differences. Lively has dated one of her her "Gossip Girl" co-stars, Penn Badgley, and she split with Leonardo DiCaprio about a year ago.

Will Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds' marriage last?
Yes, they both seem to have found true love. Maybe, but who am I to judge? No, celebrity marriages are doomed from the start.
