"Oh my gosh, it's a total different pregnancy, I just feel awful," Simpson, 32, told late-night host Kimmel. "I've been vomiting and the crazy thing is, I never knew that a wiener could actually make me nauseous." After pausing a moment, Simpson exclaimed, "Oh, shoot!" and slapped Kimmel's desk. "Well, I guess I just told the world that I'm having a boy!"
It took Kimmel a moment to make the connection. "Oh, yeah, OK, I didn't even know what was happening!"
After more small talk, Simpson reiterated a minute later, "I kind of just outed that I was having a boy, right? I can't believe I did that -- that was not planned!" She told Kimmel that her family knew, "and all of my friends. I mean, it was kind of out and about in the press that I was having a boy. It's like, how do people know these things?"
She assured Kimmel she didn't believe any of her friends were being untrustworthy. "I don't think they're, like, calling up people or whatever, but maybe they tell their parents and their parents are talking about it at the grocery store. I mean, who knows?"
Simpson and her fiance, former NFL player Eric Johnson, 33, became the parents of daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson on May 1. The couple, who have been engaged since November 2010, confirmed this second pregnancy on Christmas Day.
