Comic Joan Rivers verbally assaulted "Girls" star Lena Dunham with weight remarks on "The Howard Stern Show" Tuesday. During her appearance, Rivers accused Dunham of sending out the wrong message to women for being content with her weight.

Stern defended Dunham after Rivers attacked her fashion selections by remarking that what's likable about Dunham is that she doesn't care how she looks.

Rivers also brought up Dunham's Vogue cover and the retouching that was done in the magazine. "There she was looking gorgeous," she said. "You didn't know it was her."
