Former "Smash" star Katharine McPhee and her husband Nick Cokas reportedly are attempting to reconcile, five months after she was photographed kissing a married director while she and Cokas were separated.

McPhee, 29, the "American Idol" season-five runner-up, and Cokas, 47, who is also her manager, were seen walking their dogs over the weekend in Los Angeles, People magazine said Tuesday. The two, who married in 2008, had been separated for six months and were living apart in October 2013, TMZ.com reported at the time, when it ran photos of her kissing Michael Morris, a director of her 2011-12 NBC musical drama.

Morris has been married since 2003 to actress Mary McCormack ("In Plain Sight"). The couple has three young daughters. Us Weekly said Tuesday that Morris had left his family's home after the kissing incident but has since reconciled with his wife.
