Are singers Katy Perry and John Mayer taking their casual relationship to the next level?
Perry, whose divorce from comedian Russell Brand was finalized last month, was photographed with Mayer for the first time Wednesday night after going on occasional dates since at least June, Us Weekly reported Thursday.
Mayer and Perry had dinner at Pace restaurant before heading to Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, the magazine said. She had just returned that day from Brazil, having flown there Sunday for a premiere of her music documentary "Part of Me 3-D."
The two had been seen on a date at Soho House in West Hollywood on June 19, and met the next night at Perry's home for pizza, according to Us. Perry, 27, first flirted with Mayer, 34, at the Manhattan event space Goldbar in September 2009, shortly before she fell in love with Brand, the magazine said.
Perry and Florence + the Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd had a brief romance that ended in May, reports at the time said.
Mayer previously dated actresses Jennifer Aniston and Jennifer Love Hewitt and singer Jessica Simpson.
Representatives for Perry and Mayer each declined to comment.
