Reality TV star Kim Kardashian and Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West have reached a settlement in their lawsuit with YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley, who had recorded and posted a video of the couple's engagement despite having signed a confidentiality agreement.

TMZ.com said Thursday that Hurley, 38, has agreed to pay $440,000 to Kardashian and West for posting the video on Hurley's subsequent Internet venture, the mobile video sharing platform MixBit.

West, 38, proposed to Kardashian, 34, on Oct. 21, 2013, her birthday, at AT&T Park in San Francisco, before numerous guests and with fireworks and a 50-piece orchestra.
