Former "Growing Pains" star Kirk Cameron, now a faith-based film producer, has taken down a Facebook post in which he condemned the mass wedding at Sunday's Grammy Awards.
"How did you like the Grammy's all out assault on the traditional family last night?" Cameron, 43, posted on his Facebook page Monday, referring to the marriage of 33 gay and straight couples, officiated by Queen Latifah. "Last night, the lines were drawn thick and dark," he continued, after first promoting "my new family movie, 'Mercy Rule.' "
"Now more than ever," Cameron went on, "we must work together to create the world we want for our children."
The direct-to-DVD and streaming "Mercy Rule," due out Feb. 14, stars Cameron and his wife, Chelsea Noble, as parents of a children's-league baseball player.
In March 2012, Cameron was criticized after telling CNN's Piers Morgan that being gay is "detrimental," "unnatural" and "ultimately destructive to so many of the foundations of civilization."
