Having the flu is never easy -- but it's that much more dangerous when someone like Lily Allen, who's performing or making TV appearances every night, gets it. The Brit pop star revealed that she had come down with the nasty illness Tuesday, and though she tried to self-medicate and stay hydrated, things got so bad that she had to be rushed to the hospital Thursday.

"#SHEEzUS in #SHOSPITAL," Allen wrote along with an Instagram picture of herself hooked up to IV needles in a hospital bed. Allen, 29, assured everyone that it's nothing serious. "I'm fine though guys, just need some fluids cause i can't keep anything down. #dramz," the rest of Allen's Instagram caption read.

An emotional 'Idol'

"American Idol" finalist Jena Irene's rendition of "Can't Help Falling in Love" on Wednesday was so moving that judge Jennifer Lopez ran on stage to give her a kiss on the cheek and a hug.

"I was like, 'Oh my god, all the boys at my school would be so jealous.' But it was cool. It meant a lot," Irene said.

Irene said that she told the band to slow down the song "to create this nice, intimate moment. . . . You could hear a pin drop in the room it was so quiet."
