Mariah Carey dislocates shoulder during video shoot
Singer Mariah Carey was taken to a Manhattan hospital Sunday night after dislocating her shoulder during a music-video shoot.
"Mariah injured herself while filming a video with [rapper Young] Jeezy for the remix of '#Beautiful,' directed by her husband Nick Cannon," Carey's spokeswoman Cindi Berger said Monday in a statement to Newsday. "She was taken to [a] hospital late last [Sunday] night, where doctors reset her shoulder. She is fine."
Greenlawn native Carey, 43, performed the remix on June 30 at the BET Awards alongside Miguel and Young Jeezy. "#Beautiful," which was released May 6, is scheduled to be the lead single of Carey's upcoming 14th studio album, "The Art of Letting Go."
Berger said Carey is still scheduled to perform with the New York Philharmonic at the 2013 Major League Baseball All-Star Charity Concert in Central Park on Saturday, in a benefit performance for superstorm Sandy relief.
