He acts, he sings, he dances, he hosts the Tony Awards. And now Neil Patrick Harris can add published author to his resume, too.

Wednesday, Crown Archetype, an imprint of the Crown Publishing Group, announced that it had acquired an untitled memoir by Harris, to be published in the spring of 2014. The star of CBS' "How I Met Your Mother" will tell his life story in an "interactive, nonlinear" book according to a statement released by Crown Archetype.

Harris was the teen star of "Doogie Howser, M.D.," which ran on ABC from 1989 to 1993, and won acclaim for his performances in "Assassins," "Proof" and "Cabaret" on Broadway. He'll also likely write about coming out as gay in 2006, and raising twins with his partner.

"I read with great fondness Tina Fey's 'Bossypants,' so my plan is just to reprint those exact stories but change the names to people that I knew," Harris said in the statement. "What editor would take issue with that?"
