Barack and Mayor Mike got on. Angelina fell off.
Vanity Fair Tuesday released its 70th annual tally of best-dressed personalities on the international stage, and it was as notable for its inclusions (President "Frumpy"?) as its omissions.
President Barack Obama, who revealed recently that until four years ago, he only owned four suits - and wore them until they were "shiny" - was named to the list for the first time. First lady Michelle Obama scored honors for the third year running.
Mother of six Angelina Jolie dropped off VF's list, but life-partner Brad Pitt was named for the third time . . . just not in the "couples" category this time.
Penélope Cruz, Anne Hathaway, Alicia Keys, and Kelly Ripa are ranked for the first time. Tiki Barber and Daniel Craig were favorites on the men's side.
France's first lady, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, makes the list for the second year in a row, as does New York City's de facto first lady, Diana Taylor.
Taylor's partner, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, is named to the list for the first time.
Catherine Deneuve and Renée Zellweger were both named to the International Best-Dressed List Hall of Fame.
The September issue of Vanity Fair hits newsstands Wednesday.
