Rockland County resident Bill Murray, who stars in Wes Anderson’s latest indie film, “Moonrise Kingdom,” in theaters Friday, is also slated to star in an upcoming release with true local ties. The Oscar-nominated actor will play President Franklin D. Roosevelt in “Hyde Park on Hudson,” a film about an eventful weekend in June 1939 that sees the president hosting King George VI and Queen Elizabeth at his Hyde Park home.

A recently released trailer for the Focus Features film shows Murray as a convincing FDR. In fact, there’s already Oscar buzz for his performance. Laura Linney also stars as Roosevelt’s distant cousin -- and love interest -- Margaret Stuckley.

The movie is slated for a Dec. 7 release. Watch the trailer below.
