Oscar winner Sandra Bullock isn't dwelling on her tempestuous recent past, she said in an interview published Tuesday, and believes, "We're all where we're supposed to be."
The actress, who endured a highly public breakup with her ex-husband, motorcycle customizer and reality star Jesse James, amid his extramarital affairs, told Vogue magazine: "I am exactly where I want to be now. You can't go backward. I'm not going backward. I'm grateful that I'm here, blessed to have what I have."
Bullock, 49, who married James in 2005 and divorced him in 2010 after adopting her infant Louis as a single mother, conceded that, "Nobody can be prepared for anything. If you end up in a place where you can look back and go, 'It happened, but I'm so lucky to be sitting where I am sitting . . .' " she said, her voice trailing off.
Bullock's latest film, "Gravity," directed by Alfonso Cuarón ("Children of Men"), opens Oct. 4.
