"Anger Management" star Charlie Sheen evidently has succeeded in having co-star Selma Blair fired from his FX show.

"We are confirming that Selma Blair will not be returning to 'Anger Management' and we wish her the very best," a representative for series producer Lionsgate said in a statement to Newsday.

Reports on Monday indicated that Sheen, 47, who plays former minor league ballplayer turned anger-management therapist, had pressed to have Blair, who turns 41 on Sunday, fired from her role as Goodson's therapist, friend and occasional romantic partner.

As TMZ.com initially described, Blair complained to the show's producers about Sheen's professionalism. When word filtered back to Sheen, whose Estevez/Sheen Productions is a partner in the show, produced by Lionsgate Television, he demanded the actress be fired.
