NYLON Magazine opens holiday pop-up shop
So, you're almost done with your holiday shopping. As you merrily check off your list, feeling like jolly old Saint Nick himself, you get to that one final name.
Cue horror movie soundtrack.
You're not alone . . . many of us have that friend who is nearly impossible to shop for. She lives with her head in fashion magazines and looks like she just stepped out of one. She has a perfectly curated collection of clothing, shoes and accessories that could rival Kate Middleton's royal closet.
How do you shop for the fashion snob who has everything?
NYLON Magazine just opened its first ever pop-up shop in Manhattan's Meatpacking District, and we have a hunch the answer might be right inside its doors.
The space at 72 Gansevoort has been styled to look like a NYLON issue that has come to life with merchandised looks from the magazine's fashion team. There are brands like Miss Karmaloop, Doc Martens and Creative Recreations and exclusive custom-made items including a limited-edition Stampd Rolex, a Swarovski Crystal skull iPhone charger, MUPPET X Burton snowboards, Phillip Noel handbags and more.
Want a really one-of-a-kind gift? Check out the do-it-yourself fashion bar where experts will help you design your own creations. There's also a TIGI braid bar, Essie nail art area, grooming station for men and makeup applications from the Smashbox Cosmetics Studio Pop Holiday Collection.
With all of that, you might walk out feeling even more fashionable than the friend you were shopping for.
