The reality TV personalities tweeted that they were looking at homes Thursday.
It was unclear where on the Island the MTV castmates were looking, but Polizzi, 23, announced on her Twitter page Thursday, "I think we found our dream house. . . . Can't wait for the future . . . Stay tuned!"
Farley and Polizzi could not be reached for comment, but some of their more than 2 million online followers speculated that a spinoff show might be in the works. An MTV spokeswoman said there are currently no plans.
"There are so many nice houses on Long Island," wrote one admirer. "I'm sure you guys will have no problems finding the right one."
Last month, Babylon residents heard that Polizzi was moving to their community, a rumor her manager Scott Talarico denied. He confirmed Friday that they are looking on Long Island but could not say where and added that "nothing's final."
RadarOnline.com reported Friday that Polizzi and Farley spoke in October about how they'd make great roommates during an interview on Ryan Seacrest's radio show on Los Angeles' KISS-FM. "We were able to live with each other three times and really not have any arguments," Farley said.
The new season of "Jersey Shore" starts Jan. 6.
