Snooki and JWoww on pregnancy and their personal lives

As roommates on MTV's "Jersey Shore" spinoff, "Snooki & JWoww," Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Jenni "JWoww" Farley are used to sharing everything. But when we talked to the roommates the other day, Newsday wanted to know: Would Farley be in the room when Polizzi delivers her first child, due in early September?

"Yeah I definitely don't mind, but Jionni is definitely like, 'only I'm going to be in the room,'" Polizzi said of her fiance, Jionni LaValle. "I wouldn't mind Jenni and my mom in there also."

What she's not so sure about is whether her son will live his life on camera.

"I definitely want him to grow up and have a normal childhood like I did," she said. A Marlboro native, Polizzi noted that her adolescence included trips to the Galleria in Poughkeepsie and Newburgh's waterfront. "I'm not really sure if I'm going to have him grow up on reality TV yet."

Polizzi, who is shown telling Farley about both her pregnancy and her engagement in the first episode of "Snooki & JWoww," will tell the rest of the "Jersey Shore" crew in Thursday night's episode. Not surprisingly, she doesn't get the reaction she had hoped for.

"I was definitely surprised," said Polizzi, referring to the "Jersey Shore" cast's negative reaction to her big news, which was greeted with some disbelief and a lot of jokes. "They busted our balls; that's what they do," she said.

JWoww called it "older brother syndrome," but added that the "Shore" gang was ultimately supportive and congratulatory.

After witnessing Polizzi's pregnancy throughout all of the stages, Farley expresses on camera that she's not sure if she ever wants to be pregnant herself. When asked if she's still feeling the same way now, Farley gushed about her friend.

"Nicole is handling the pregnancy so well," she said. "She's still beautiful. She's skinny as ever."

She continued that while she's a bit scared of pregnancy and motherhood, which she doesn't see happening until she's engaged or married, that Snooki makes it look easy. "She definitely sets the bar for it," Farley said.

Farley is in a relationship with Roger Mathews, who like LaValle, is often seen spending time at the girls' apartment on the show. She said that even though her best friend is in the process of settling down, she and Mathews aren't heading down the same path anytime soon.

"We live together, and because of that, I feel like we're very comfortable in our environment," she said. "I want, like, an over-the-top wedding, and craziness, and to be on camera. I feel like that adds more pressure to him, so that he's not ready to pull the trigger yet."

Like her BFF, Polizzi also isn't worried about setting a wedding date anytime soon. "We're focused on the baby, and having a healthy baby and being good parents," she said. "Once that happens we'll talk about the wedding."

When asked if either of them would consider a televised wedding, like Kim Kardashian's marriage on E! to Kris Humphries, which resulted in a quick divorce, Snooki was open to the possibility, responding with a quick: "Why not." Farley chimed in, too. "But ours would last longer than 72 days," she said, leading Polizzi to add: "I won't get divorced."

So what can fans expect this season on "Snooki & JWoww?"

"A lot of drama's going to hit in a few episodes," teased Farley. "We're going to go to Cancun, and it's going to be so much fun. But it's like a mix, because there are days when we get along, and when we don't get along, and same goes with our relationships with our boyfriends too."

"You'll be seeing it. It gets better, I feel. It gets more crazy," she said.

"Snooki & JWoww" airs 10 p.m. Thursday on MTV.
