Offering a history museum, an art gallery featuring local talent, a research library and archives, and exhibits, programs, and lectures and workshops year-round. Events include a monthly Book & Bottle author lecture series, genealogy workshops, and Tea & Talk luncheons. The museum offers a unique, ever-growing collection of permanent artifacts and alternating exhibits. The research library houses an extensive collection of historic primary source materials made available to visitors. Subscription to the Photo of The Week series is available on website or via email. The mueseum building was built in 1930 but holds artifacts dating back to the 17th-18th centuries.
Currently this society holds over 20,000 artifacts inside the building and it is still growing.Hours:
Museum and gift shop open all year 10:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Wed.-Sat , research library open 12:30-4:30 p.m. Wed.-Sat.
