One of the most celebrated live performance theaters in the Hudson Valley, this local landmark, built in 1885 by chocolate manufacturer William Wallace, was almost razed in the late 70s to make way for a parking lot. After a nonprofit organization bought the 843-seat theater in 1980 and a series of renovations brought new life to the venue, it once again became southern Westchesters premier destination for concerts, comedy and more.

Comedy: Longtime Tarrytown resident Kevin Meaney hosts an annual Christmas variety show here, but its also become a hot spot for comedians way beyond Westchester Countys boundaries. From Paul F. Tompkins to the wacky improvisers from Whose Line is it Anyway? the venue proves its more than a great place for music. -Chris Serico
