Willow Smith, the 13-year-old daughter of actors Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, stirred controversy Wednesday when a 20-year-old actor-musician posted two photos of himself and her lounging together on a bed.

Moises Arias, best known for having played Rico opposite Miley Cyrus on the Disney Channel series "Hannah Montana," is shirtless in two black-and-white photos, in which he's sitting up in bed while a fully clothed Smith, lying down with her back to him, looks into the camera impassively.

The photos were on Arias' Tumblr and Instagram pages, but appeared to have been deleted from both as of Wednesday afternoon. The photos remained on his website, 490tx.com, with a caption saying both were posted on April 27. Numerous other sites have reposted them.

On Wednesday night Jada Pinkett Smith told paparazzi who questioned her at Los Angeles International Airport that "there was nothing sexual about that picture or that situation... You guys are projecting your trash onto it. You're acting like covert pedophiles and that's not cool."

Neither Arias nor "Whip My Hair" singer Smith has commented on their respective Twitter pages.

GossipCop.com, the debunking website, said Arias is a family friend of the Smiths, and considers Willow like a sister to him. Arias' brother had taken the photos, the site added.

Us Weekly noted that Arias, Willow Smith and her brother Jaden, are all mutual friends of Kendall and Kylie Jenner, two of the reality-show Kardashian clan. Arias' Tumblr page, said the magazine, contains several photos of himself with both the Smiths and the Jenners, including some that appeared to have been taken together at the Coachella music festival in Indio, Calif., last month.
