SCROOGES This week holds the only airing of Alastair Sim's beloved portrayal in 1951's "A Christmas Carol" (Thursday at 10 p.m., TCM). It's part of TCM's Thursday marathon that includes Albert Finney's 1970 musical "Scrooge" (8 p.m.), Seymour Hicks' 1935 "Scrooge" (11:30p.m.), Reginald Owen's 1938 "A Christmas Carol" (1 a.m.) and Rod Serling's 1964 nuclear drama "A Carol for Another Christmas" (2:15 a.m., all on TCM). Other depictions feature Bill Murray in "Scrooged" (Sunday at 10 p.m., ABC Family), Vanessa Williams in "A Diva's Christmas Carol" (Monday at 10 p.m., Lifetime) and Patrick Stewart in "A Christmas Carol" (Friday at 9 p.m. and midnight, TNT). There's even "The Muppet Christmas Carol" (Saturday night at 11:30, Sunday at 6 p.m., ABC Family). And episodic Scrooges, too, in "A Flintstones Christmas Carol" (Saturday at 9 a.m., Boomerang), "The Jetsons" (Saturday at 10:30 a.m., Friday at 7:30 p.m., Boomerang), "The Odd Couple" (Sunday at 2 p.m., Cloo), "Family Ties" (Sunday at 3 p.m., Cloo) and "Martin" (Sunday at 5:30 p.m., TV One).

YULE MUST-SEES James Stewart stars in Frank Capra's classic "It's a Wonderful Life" (Friday at 8p.m., NBC/4). Bing Crosby's "White Christmas" gets multiple airings (Saturday at 7 and 9:45 p.m., Sunday at 4:15 p.m. and midnight, AMC). Animation encores: "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" (Saturday at 8 p.m., CBS/2) and "A Charlie Brown Christmas" (Thursday at 8 p.m., ABC/7).

MOVIES NEW AND OLD Lots of TV movie premieres: Haylie Duff in "Hats Off to Christmas" (Saturday at 8 p.m., Hallmark), Hilarie Burton in "Christmas on the Bayou" (Saturday at 8 p.m., Lifetime), Alicia Witt in "A Snow Globe Christmas" (Saturday at 10 p.m., Lifetime), Tricia Helfer in "Finding Christmas" (Sunday at 8 p.m., Hallmark).
