Composer John Adams builds to A-bomb's explosion in 'Doctor Atomic'
Minimalist American composer John Adams will make his Metropolitan Opera debut on Monday with "Doctor Atomic," which explores the final few hours before the explosion of the first atomic bomb on July 2, 1945. To make the production accessible to as many theatergoers as possible, many orchestra seats will be sold for only $30.
