The Big Easy does it in shows like 'True Blood'
HBO's vampire series "True Blood", which is set in the fictional Louisiana town of Bon Temps, returns for its second season Sunday at 9 p.m. Here are five other TV series that have been set in the Bayou State:
"Longstreet" (1971-72) - James Franciscus ("Mr. Novak") starred as a blind insurance-company investigator in the Big Easy. (Bruce Lee played his self-defense instructor!) "Frank's Place" (1987-88) - Dramedy set at a Creole restaurant inherited by a Boston professor (Tim Reid) from his father, whom he had not seen since he was 2 years old. "Orleans" (1997) - In his first series after "Dallas" left the air, Larry Hagman played a New Orleans judge with three successful but troubled adult children. "The Riches" (2007-08) - In the offbeat series, Eddie Izzard and Minnie Driver played grifters who assumed the identities of a family living in a gated community in Baton Rouge. "K-Ville" (2007) - Critically praised, but little-watched drama focusing on the policing of New Orleans, post-Katrina. Anthony Anderson ("Law & Order") starred. -- ANDY EDELSTEIN
