Housewives Watch: Bethenny Frankel kicks it at polo
Was Bethenny Frankel checking out Xante Liqueur for more cocktail ideas at the closing day Saturday of the Mercedes-Benz Polo Challenge at Blue Star Jets Field? It is not an ingredient in her SkinnyGirl Margarita, but here's a suggestion: Poured into the Stoli Vodka they were serving in the tent packs a serious punch. (Don't ask us how we know.)
That was not one of the specialty drinks. Xante co-sponsored the afternoon with Bing and Niche Media's Hamptons Magazine. Hamptons threw an after party for WNBC's new show, "LX New York," at designer Jamie Drake's East Hampton estate, with avant garde dance vignettes that featured scant clothing, whips and body paint. All in the name of art, of course.
The very single Russell Simmons seemed on the prowl at Polo. "That Swedish girl is hot," we heard him say, after talking to Xante's tall, blonde chief executive Adele Nilsson.
Frankel's figure is also looking hotter than ever. "I've been surfing and golfing," she said. "I took a villa at the Montauk Yacht Club for the whole summer, so it's a little more under the radar." Also a little more under the radar: her hunky fiance.
Don't expect too many Hamptons scenes in Season 3 of "The Real Housewives of New York City." They haven't started taping yet. When can we expect to see? "More of the same," she laughed. "More drama. I'm sure there'll be charity events, gala events, doctor visits, divorces -- who knows?"
And, of course, fiance visits, for Little Bethenny, Happy at Last.
