Renee Zellweger told David Letterman in an interview Thursday night that as a Texan she's "very very critical about guacamole everywhere." So this summer, when she opened her first restaurant, The Blue Parrot in East Hampton, she decided to do it right.

Letterman read aloud from the menu -- there's Classic Guacamole ($12), Chipotle Guacamole ($12) and, he said, "Our Famous Guacamole Stuffed Pinata." At $18, it includes bats and Wetnaps, he added.

"That must have been Jon Bon Jovi's idea," said Zellweger, referring to her rocker-partner in the business.

All of a sudden, a pinata appeared on stage, as well as two bats. Zellweger and Letterman beat it until guacamole splattered -- um -- everywhere. "Where's the chips?" she asked, licking her fingers.

Someone who attended the live taping tells Hangin' in the Hamptons that Letterman's crew spent the commercial break cleaning the guacamole from Zellweger's blond tresses and royal blue dress.
