Anne Hathaway is an Oscar winner, but that hasn't made her immune to ageism in Hollywood when going up for roles.
"I can't complain about it because I benefited from it," Hathaway, 32, says in the October issue of Glamour UK. "When I was in my early 20s, parts would be written for women in their 50s and I would get them. And now I'm in my early 30s and I'm like, 'Why did that 24-year-old get that part?' "
"I was that 24- year-old once, I can't be upset about it, it's the way things are," she added. "All I can do right now is think that thankfully you have built up perhaps a little bit of cachet and can tell stories that interest you and if people go to see them, you'll be allowed to make more."
Hathaway next appears in "The Intern," which co-stars Robert De Niro and opens Sept. 25.
Paisley's a football fan
College football is front and center in Brad Paisley's music video for "Country Nation." In it, Paisley performs on a football field, while alternating scenes show a variety of big school college mascots doing odd jobs around town.
The video isn't the only way Paisley, 42, is showing his love for college football. He gave a free performance at Virginia Tech on Sunday and is set to play other college campuses, including Baylor University and the University of Arkansas, to kick off football season.
