Channing Tatum, who seems headed for another hit with the upcoming "Magic Mike XXL," can pick and choose his projects. When the actor was starting out, though, he was willing to sign on for just about anything, he said on Howard Stern's radio show Tuesday. Tatum, 35, said he sometimes landed in a movie he did not want to do like 2009's "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra."
"I hate that movie," he said. "I was pushed into doing that movie. From 'Coach Carter,' they signed me for a three-picture deal. . . . They give you the contract and they go, 'Three-picture deal, here you go.' And as a young [actor], you're like, 'Oh my God, that sounds amazing, I'm doing that!' "
He had found success with other projects by the time the studio called with "G.I. Joe." "The script wasn't any good," he said. "[I had] no option. [It was,] 'You're doing this, or we're gonna sue you.' "
Malik goes blond
Former One Direction member Zayn Malik, who dyed his tresses lime green earlier this month, has another new look -- he's gone platinum and gotten a buzz cut. Malik, 22, showed off his new 'do on Wednesday at Valentino's fashion show in Paris.
The singer's fans also made quite a fuss. While making his way into Valentino's presentation for the brand's Spring-Summer 2016 menswear collection, Malik was mobbed by admirers.
