Demi Lovato is setting the record straight that she and Selena Gomez are still friends, despite what appears in print.
A recent story in Complex magazine stated that the two singer-actresses, both 23, had a falling out. But Lovato tweeted to her fans that the interview with the magazine was done months ago and she and Gomez have settled their differences.
Gomez also told "Entertainment Tonight" last month that everything is now fine between Lovato and her. "We went to a dinner, I think it was two weeks ago . . . we were talking about her record, my record, just kind of catching up," she said.
Damon defends Affleck
Matt Damon has been talking quite a lot this week to promote his new movie, "The Martian." In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the actor spoke about pal Ben Affleck and the way his friend was misunderstood before establishing himself as a director and as a prominent actor in films such as "Gone Girl."
"Ten years ago, the public image of him could not have been farther apart from who he actually is," Damon said. "It was like he was being cast in a role, that he was a talentless kind of meathead, with his whole relationship with Jennifer Lopez. He just got cast as this person that he wasn't. It was painful to be his friend, because it wasn't fair, you know? To my mind, nobody really got him at all."
