"Jersey Shore" housemate Deena Nicole Cortese, charged with disorderly conduct on Sunday, was out of jail Monday after being released in the company of her parents.
Cortese, 25, was served with a summons and released without bail hours after her arrest in Seaside Heights, N.J., where the MTV show is taping its sixth season, Us Weekly reports.
Tommy Boyd, police chief of the Borough of Seaside Heights, told WNBC-TV a borough officer had seen Cortese "a little intoxicated" in the middle of a street, slapping cars going by. "Nothing major, but we can't put up with it," he said.
Borough detective Steve Korman explained to E! that "Deena walked out of a bar by herself and started to dance in traffic. An unidentified driver was attempting to drive around her and she wouldn't let him pass. An officer arrested her and she was charged with disorderly conduct."
That wasn't the only incident involving the "Jersey Shore" housemates over the weekend. Jenni "JWoww" Farley was on crutches after she, her boyfriend, Roger Matthews, and her castmates Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, Paul "DJ Pauly D" Delvecchio and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro were involved in a brawl Friday at the town's Bamboo Bar.
Us Weekly said drunk patrons saw the MTV cameras and began taunting some of the "Jersey Shore" group. Matthews and Ryan Labbe, from MTV's "The Pauly D Project," became involved in a small fight that escalated into a bar-wide fracas, in which Farley sprained her ankle.
Two patrons claim that Matthews and Ortiz-Magro hit them without provocation, said TMZ.com. A lawyer for the patrons told the site, "Thankfully the assault was captured by both MTV and Bamboo's cameras so there should be no dispute who were the aggressors during this unfortunate incident."
