When actress Kate Winslet tied the knot earlier this month, she did it just off the beaten path from the Hudson Valley, in the nearby Catskill Mountains, the Daily Mail reported.

A representative for the Oscar-winning actress confirmed that Winslet, 37, wed Ned Rocknroll, the 34-year-old nephew of billionaire Virgin Group founder Sir Richard Branson in a private ceremony attended by Winslet's two children and a few friends and family members, but remained hush-hush on other details.

The actress and Rocknroll, born Abel Smith, have been engaged since last summer. The couple met last August when both separately vacationed on a private Caribbean island owned by Branson, according to the Daily Mail. During the trip a fire burned down the house where Winslet was staying with her children. Winslet carried Branson's 90-year-old mother to safety.

Winslet was married twice before, to film directors Jim Threapleton and Sam Mendes.
