Luciano's Restaurant & Bar

2-4 W. Main St.
East Islip, NY 11730-2428
631-581-6811

The former East Islip Clam & Oyster Bar has reopened as Luciano's, under the same ownership as before. "We've upgraded and changed the menu," said owner Joseph Luciano, who characterized the menu as "as Continental as you can get." Chef Bobby Skiber formerly cooked at Tellers Chophouse in Islip.

The place is divided into two areas, one designed to evoke an old English pub (a pub with 8 flat screen plasma televisions) the other, a dining room done in a Venetian motif.

The number one seller, said Luciano, is shrimp fra diavolo. Specials change daily, with items like oysters Rockefeller, pan seared pork chops amd lobster and shrimp francaise over angel hair pasta typical of the assortment. Dessert might be strawberry mousse with chocolate ganache.
