For the past 10 years, Mark Bergbuchler has been both chef and owner of this nautical Northport spot, which serves a menu that stresses seafood and pasta.

Bergbuchler's seafood bisque and seafood Florentine bisque garnered first place at a chowder contest held at the Snapper Inn in 2005. The restaurant, which owns two tickets to every performance at the Northport's new John Engeman Theater, stages a nightly drawing. The winners get to go on a subsequent evening. The restaurant also serves breakfast on weekends, offering everything from pancakes to eggs Benedict to steak and eggs.

Breakfast, Saturday, 7:15 to noon, Sunday, 7:15 to 1:30 p.m.; Lunch, daily, 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.; dinner, Sunday to Thursday, 4 to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 4 to 10 p.m.
