French country cooking drives the kitchen at Alison, a candlelit restaurant with simple, elegant decor or white and navy blue. It's the latest effort of Alison Becker Hurt, who has had previous restaurants in Manhattan and Sagaponack. With two rooms, one romantic and the other more lively, the restaurant can seat 125. Roast duck is $28, and a sauteed Atlantic salmon is $27. A duo of beef, with braised short ribs and grilled hangar steak is $37. As an appetizer, try the $12 grilled venison sausage, or the grilled quail risotto. Nightly specials are offered. Cocktails can be ordered at the copper-topped bar. The restaurant is in a freestanding building and can seat 125.
