Description:

An interactive educational facility focusing on fire prevention and education. It also includes the history of the Nassau County volunteer fire service, with photos, vintage fire trucks, historical and modern fire equipment and uniforms.

 

Hosts the annual Badge of Courage Gala, a fundraiser, in September, which is fire prevention month. Facilities available for rental. Museum is part of Museum Row, which includes the Cradle of Aviation and the Long Island Children's Museum.

Hours:

10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tue.-Sun. Sept.-June, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. daily July-August;
