Lovato opens up on bulimia, mental illness

Travel deals

Demi Lovato is stronger than ever -- and it shows on Cosmopolitan's August cover. The 20-year-old "X Factor" judge admits that she grew up with "obstacles that [she] was able to overcome." Inside she tells the mag about what she dealt with and how she made it to 20, because "some people don't." She opens up about her history of bulimia and her struggles with mental illness, which she says went back as far as when she appeared on "Barney and Friends" at the age of 7. "I went through things when I was younger that I've never talked about that probably caused me to turn out the way I ended up turning out," she says.

Teen Choice nominees

The annual Teen Choice Awards -- aka. that show with a billion categories, all of which we're bitter about being too old to vote for -- has released the second, but certainly not final, wave of nominations for this year's ceremony. Selena Gomez, Melissa McCarthy, Channing Tatum and "The Vampire Diaries" are a few of our favorites on the list, which includes nominees from movies, music, TV and more. Who will you vote for?
