Madonna nixes adoption of second child

Madonna has reportedly scrapped plans to adopt another child from Malawi.

According to The Sun, the 49-year-old singer told aides that she¹s exhausted by the legal process.

Reports surfaced last year that the Material Girl wanted to adopt a 2-year-old girl named Mercy as a sister for her Malawi-born son, David Banda. David¹s adoption was finalized this month, but Mercy¹s was expected to take another two years.

According to the paper, Madge will financially support Mercy from Britain.

The singer fueled reports that Jay-Z and Beyoncé Knowles tied the knot this weekend with a shout-out during her ³Heart of the City² concert tour, People magazine reports. ³Congratulations to my man, Jay-Z, and my girl, B,² Blige said. Jay-Z, who co-headlined the tour, stayed mum on the topic.

Reps for the musicians have not confirmed reports of a wedding.
