The Invasion
'The Invasion,' starring Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig, was filmed in Maryland in 2005.
We're ready for your close-up
Nicole Kidman's new film, The Visiting, concerns an alien invasion in the Baltimore-Washington area, and perhaps the rest of the world (like we care about anyone else!). In the course of the movie, residents start behaving a little strangely, no doubt because - if this Invasion of the Body Snatchers remake resembles its predecessors - they have been replaced by cunning extraterrestrial clones.

A Nicole Kidman itinerary, just in case
In terms of sheer movie queen glam, the likes of Nicole Kidman haven't been seen in Charm City in decades. So it's all the more notable that the statuesque Australian beauty will star in Invasion, which is scheduled to shoot here this fall.
Film crews set to invade Baltimore
We do D.C. well," says Jack Gerbes, director of the Maryland Film Office, and that's why Baltimore will host Nicole Kidman when she heads the cast of the Warner Bros. sci-fi thriller Invasion this fall. The star, who won an Oscar for portraying a suicidal writer in The Hours (2002), plays a Washington psychiatrist who uncovers the unearthly secret to a behavior-altering epidemic - and must fight to protect her son, who she thinks may be the crucial person standing between Earth and an extraterrestrial invasion.
