Aliens won’t stand a chance against Chloë Grace Moretz in “The 5th Wave.” Time and again, she’s shown that you don’t want to mess with her, especially in these four films.

KICK-ASS (2010) — Moretz had her breakout role as comic-book heroine Hit-Girl, whose language was even nastier than her butt kicking. The actress worked with Jackie Chan’s stuntman to train for her action scenes. She reprised the role in the 2013 sequel.

LET ME IN (2010) — This time, Moretz was literally out for blood as a vampire who will do anything to satisfy her cravings for type O. She also teaches a neighbor (Kodi Smit-McPhee) to defend himself against some bullies.

DARK SHADOWS (2012) — The big-screen version of the ’60s horror soap opera may have fizzled, but Moretz was scary good as a rebellious teen who transforms herself into a werewolf and has a nasty showdown with Eva Green as wicked witch Angelique.

CARRIE (2013) — In this remake of the 1976 Stephen King shocker, Moretz played the timid teen who uses her telekinetic powers for revenge on her classmates and her Bible-thumping mother (Julianne Moore) after being humiliated on prom night.
