Readers reveal their favorite spots for pancakes
Sweet Maple Cafe
"I love Sweet Maple Cafe. The breakfast food is excellent and filling. My favorites are the buttermilk pancakes, French toast, grits and hash fries. The service is great and prompt. Best days to go to Sweet Maple Cafe are Monday through Friday. Weekends are the only days you will have to wait 30 to 45 minutes."

"Two years ago I moved to Atlanta and every time I visit Chicago (at least four times a year) I head to the Bongo Room for the best breakfast in the country. I love the pumpkin spice pancakes and crave them."
-Lizz H., Atlanta
"Definitely go with a friend and split two dishes. Feta eggs Benedict with roasted peppers is a must, and have any of the pancake selections. You can't go wrong-perfect balance of sweet and savory."
-A.J.
Orange
"My wife and I have begun a quest to sample all of the best breakfast restaurants in the city. So far, Orange is one of the better places we've tried. On this visit, we shared a stack of rose-strawberry pancakes with almonds and cream and pear-stuffed pastry with potatoes, endive, onions, eggs and a brie sauce. Both were tasty and filling, well-prepared and dripping with flavor. The pancakes were some of the best I've had, and the pastry dish had so many flavors, it was hard to believe it was only a single dish."
-Jeffrey O.
Ann Sather
"This place serves up a tasty breakfast. Cinnamon rolls, muffins, fresh-squeezed orange juice, strawberry and lingonberry pancakes. Oh, yummy!"
-Rachael Z.
Toast
"The pancakes were the lightest and fluffiest I've ever had. The French toast looked great!"
-J.V.
"A crew of friends and I have become regulars, not only because of the delicious pancakes, but because it is a place where the employees remember your name! Toast works wonders on an appetite, and the manager creates a rather entertaining atmosphere!"
-S.G.
